SAN DIEGO, California — Movement Mortgage, a national top 10 retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce the addition of Ian Chi to the Southern California region.
Chi comes to Movement from Mortgage Possible. He has more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, including experience running his own brokerage firm. Chi averages more than $30 million per year in loan volume and was ranked in the top one percent in America from 2015-2017, according to Mortgage Professional Magazine.
Chi says he jumped at the chance to join a company like Movement because of the combination of competitive advantage and culture. “In my entire career in this industry, the only time I’ve seen true success is when the company’s culture is one that truly believes in their employees, motivates them and builds them up,” says Chi. “It’s rare, so when I see a culture like that, I jump at the chance to be involved with that company. With underwriting at 6 hours or less, 7 day processing, 1 day closing and technology that helps streamline the entire transaction, I can ensure that my clients get the best level of service. The entire package adds to the level of confidence I can bring to my clients unrivaled by any other lender.”
Chi will serve the San Diego, California area and report to Market Leader Rob McNelis. “Ian’s professionalism and leadership skills have already been such a blessing to us in Santee, and I can see that he will quickly become one of the strongest leaders in our company,” says McNelis. “Look out 2019, with professionals like Ian Chi on board, Movement Mortgage is out to dominate the year and beyond.”
Chi grew up in San Francisco and started his career in Sacramento. When he’s not closing loans, you can find him golfing, snowboarding and cheering on his San Jose Sharks.
